Wind Service Technician – Level   2   Canada   (Travel)   Travel Position | Utility-Scale Wind Projects   About the Role   Sky Climber Renewables is seeking   experienced   Level   2   Wind Service Technicians   who want more than just the next rotation. This role is designed for technicians who bring strong technical   capability ,   lead   by example in the field, and want to be part of a team known for disciplined execution, safety leadership, and professional growth across utility-scale wind projects.     This is a 100% travel position supporting maintenance, repair, and installation scopes across multiple turbine platforms. Level   1   technicians at SCR play a critical role in execution quality, mentoring junior technicians, and representing our team directly with customers on site.   What You’ll Do   Be a key member of the Sky Climber Renewables field workforce     Travel 100% on a rotational basis to wind projects throughout Canada.     Assist with LOTO procedures for multi-brand wind turbines in support of blade or mechanical/electrical service operations     Conduct basic inspections, maintenance and repair of equipment     Climb a wind turbine vertically at least 300 feet     Lift and move equipment as needed (up to 50 pounds)     Follow specific verbal and written instructions to perform multi-brand wind turbine generator and associated equipment basic assembly, repair, replacement and maintenance     Complete and maintain required company and client documentation     Effectively prioritize and escalate technical issues to clients and supporting functions     Clean and organize tools, equipment, and work areas as required     Operate a motor vehicle safely and legally per the Sky Climber Renewables Employee Handbook and insurance requirements ( eg , Valid License, acceptable driving record)     Be exposed to high and low ambient temperatures while working outdoors     Maintain required training certifications for position held, including, not limited to: WHIMIS NFPA 70E, CPR/AED, First Aid, Basic Safety, Basic Technical, Advanced Rescue     Perform other daily work requirements as directed by supervisors     *Note: For safety compliance, wind technicians must weigh between 120 and 280 pounds, including clothing, boots and standard personal equipment     Qualifications & Experience   Minimum   one   ( 1 )   years   of technical wind industry experience and completion of a Wind Technician training program, OR   one   ( 1 )   years   of hands-on experience in hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical industrial environments   Advanced troubleshooting capability with the ability to interpret schematics and train others   Demonstrated proficiency with complex tools such as hydraulic rams, inductive heaters, and advanced diagnostic equipment   Strong working knowledge of industrial safety practices, including energy isolation and risk mitigation   Ability to collaborate effectively across crews, support change initiatives, and follow structured supervision   Basic computer skills, including navigation of web-based systems and technical documentation   Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English   Physical & Travel Requirements   Ability to travel 100% and work overtime, including variable schedules, as project demands require   Ability to climb ladders and stairs 60–125 meters in height   Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry items up to 50   lbs   Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, and bend for extended periods   Weight restriction of 260   lbs , required to ensure safe use of weight-rated equipment   Employment Conditions   Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record   Ability to obtain and maintain a passport   Must pass background check and drug screening   Must be 18 years of age or older   This is a Safety Sensitive position   About Sky Climber Renewables   Sky Climber Renewables (SCR) provides specialized field services to the utility-scale wind industry across North America.
