Leading by example, treating every team member and guest with respect. Supporting recruitment and retention strategies with the Restaurant Manager. Providing direct, ongoing guidance to team members, fostering a positive and motivating work environment. Handling team performance feedback, monitoring, and training new members. Ensuring optimal team coverage during busy periods and taking on various roles to ensure service levels are met.
Prioritizing the guest experience, ensuring excellent hospitality is delivered consistently. Addressing guest complaints swiftly and effectively, turning negative situations into positive experiences. Supporting company-wide incentive programs.
Ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and Tim Hortons operating standards. Supervising product merchandising, cash handling, and shift documentation. Managing shift operations through positioning charts and enforcing restaurant policies. Keeping up with new company information via the Portal or Townhall meetings and escalating any operational issues to management.
Adhering to occupational health and safety legislation, ensuring all team members follow safe work practices. Reporting any accidents, injuries, unsafe conditions, or contraventions of policies to management. Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed, including the correct use of personal protective equipment and reporting of incidents. The Shift Supervisor ensures a positive work environment, efficient operations, and an exceptional guest experience, contributing to the overall success of the restaurant.
