Shipper/Dispatcher

Imperial Dade Canada has a Shipper/Dispatcher role available in Mississauga, ON. The Shipper/Dispatcher Dispatcher is a self-motivated team player who will be an active part of our Distribution department in the areas of dispatching and fleet coordination.

Responsibilities

Routing and dispatching local fleet. Roadnet routing / maintenance. Booking repairs for Fleet Assets. Updating Geotab System. Requesting appointments for outbound orders. Releasing orders and managing the flow of picking. Perform distribution-related clerical duties. Properly ensure accuracy of the information in the computer system. Responsible for report and file maintenance. File all pertinent transportation documents. Update and maintain filing system and computer databases. Ensure internal client satisfaction through prompt and efficient service. Administrative tasks related to the proper functioning of the department.

Qualifications

Ability to prioritize and organize a constant work flow, and maintain accurate records. Proficient with PC standard tools and knowledgeable in a Windows environment with an emphasis on Word and Excel. Excellent verbal, written and telephone communication skills. Good interpersonal and customer service skills. Detail oriented. Initiative, capable and confident to work independently. Able to maintain composure in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment. High School diploma. Data entry experience. Experience with S2k systems an asset. MHE certified.

Working/Other Conditions

Indoor office environment, within a dry climate-controlled warehouse environment. Ability to work in a fast pace environment. Prolong periods of sitting, and computer and phone use. Required to wear personal protective equipment – company supplied. Ability to work extended hours, which may be required from time to time.
