As one of the largest firms in Canada, we have the bench strength and geographic scope to meet the increasingly complex needs of clients.    Job summary Our Winnipeg office is seeking an accounting professional to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this role requires regular communication with fellow team members, internal customers and vendors. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing, recording and reconciliation of accounts payable and disbursement transactions. Responsibilities include: Reviewing and processing daily cheque requests, vendor invoices and expense reimbursements  Interpreting and applying firm expense policies Coordinating and responding to inquiries through a centralized shared mailbox Assigning applicable cost codes and general ledger accounts Performing deposit, courier, vendor and credit card account reconciliations and maintenance Generating and validating files for accurate import into the accounting system Completing bank account reconciliations   Qualifications include: Graduate of a recognized accounting certificate or diploma program (equivalencies will be considered) Minimum of five year of related experience  Ability to deal with highly confidential material Strong organizational and administrative skills Demonstrated attention to detail Strong problem solving abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook) Experience with electronic expense and invoice system considered an asset Experience with implementing electronic payments considered an asset Post-secondary accounting education considered an asset   We offer: A competitive salary including individual performance bonus Comprehensive coverage for dental, health and wellness benefits Access to group savings plans and investment options Earned Days Off Program Growth and development opportunities Ongoing job-specific training and opportunities for professional development A positive and inclusive work environment    Our Diversity Statement MLT Aikins is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to building an inclusive and diverse work environment.
