Summary of Responsibilities

Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following

* Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service * Clean all assigned suites including: dusting, making beds, removing soiled linen from rooms, retrieval of clean linen from linen closets, vacuuming, bathroom cleaning, inside window cleaning, kitchen cleaning, balcony cleaning and replenish rooms with supplies and inventory * Common area cleaning as needed- vacuuming hallways, stairwells, bathrooms, pool area, exterior garbage pick up * Sign in and out keys daily * Maintain proper usage of cleaning supplies and equipment in accordance to OHS and WCB Standards * Update and record all cleaned rooms * Return and properly tag all lost and found articles in the Housekeeping Office * Follow departmental policies and procedures and service standards * Report necessary maintenance items * Follow all safety and sanitation policies * Other duties as assigned

Physical Aspects of Position

Physical aspects of the position include but are not limited to the following

* Constant standing and walking throughout shift * Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30lbs * Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting * Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps * Must be physically capable of performing repetitive work

Requirements

• *Previous experience as a Room Attendant or in a position requiring some hard physical work and a high standard of guest/customer service
• *Excellent communication and organizational skills
• *Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
• *Highly responsible & reliable
• *Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
• *Ability to work well unsupervised, at a fast pace while maintaining quality standards
• *Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
• *Impeccable grooming and presentation
• *Completely fluent English language skills, both written and verbal
• *Commitment to provide excellent service and exceed guests' expectations
• * Must be available to work varying shifts, overtime, weekends and holidays
