Reporting to the Manager, Business Development and Retail Operations, the Gift Shop Operations Lead oversees daily operations of the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (OTMH) Gift Shop and Convenience Store, ensuring strong financial performance and excellent customer experience. Key responsibilities include supervising and training Volunteers and Gift Shop Staff, managing purchasing and inventory, analyzing sales and buying trends, maintaining accurate sales records and overseeing merchandise quality, pricing and profitability. College Certificate/Diploma or Equivalent along with a minimum of five (5) years Retail Management experience Relevant experience in the retail sector, including managing teams and working with Volunteers in a customer‑focused environment. Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to multi‑task, work independently and collaborate effectively as part of a retail team. Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to motivate, coach and support staff and volunteers through change and shifting priorities. Creativity and experience in merchandising, pricing, inventory control and POS system operation. Strong financial skills, including accurate cash handling, reconciliation and basic accounting knowledge. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort using technology to support daily operations.
