QA Automation Engineer (Contract)

🔎 Immediate Opportunity for QA Automation Engineer!  We are looking for an experienced QA professional to support a high-impact modernization project on a short-term (3-month) contract in Downtown Toronto.   💻 Who You Are:    You have a keen eye for detail and take pride in ensuring software quality and reliability You thrive in an Agile environment, collaborating closely with developers and business stakeholders You are proactive in identifying and tracking defects, ensuring smooth software releases You have experience with both manual and automated testing, ensuring comprehensive coverage You’re familiar with tools like Microsoft Azure DevOps, TFS, and industry-standard testing methodologies 📍 Work Type    Hybrid (2-3 days per week required in the office)  Office Location: Toronto, Ontario   Vacancy Type: This role reflects an existing vacancy Contract Length: Contract goes until August 14, 2026 , with the possibility of extension  (must be incorporated)  Requirements 🎯 What You’ll Do (Your Superpowers):  Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Selenium with Java or C# Build and execute automated test scripts for web applications to ensure high-quality releases Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test data aligned with business and technical requirements Identify, document, and track defects, and work closely with developers to drive resolution Perform regression, integration, and end-to-end testing to validate system functionality Collaborate with developers, product teams, and stakeholders to define and improve testing strategies Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery Support production issue investigation and contribute to overall quality assurance best practices ⭐ What We’re Looking For (Our Wishlist):  5+ years of experience in QA, with a strong focus on automation testing Hands-on experience with Selenium (Java or C#) and building automation frameworks Strong programming skills in Java or C# Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., TestNG, NUnit, JUnit) Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Azure DevOps or similar Solid understanding of Agile, SDLC, and Scrum methodologies Experience with API testing and tools such as Postman or RestAssured is an asset Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills Experience with defect tracking tools and test management systems CTFL (Certified Tester Foundation Level) by ISTQB or equivalent certification (CSTE or CSQA) 🔥 What Makes This Role Exciting?  Make an Immediate Impact – Support key modernization projects with a leading team Fast-Paced & Collaborative – Work closely with industry experts on mission-critical updates Hands-On Experience – Gain exposure to the latest testing methodologies and tools Flexible Hybrid Work – Enjoy the best of both in-office collaboration and remote flexibility  Benefits Hourly Rate: $50.00-$55.00/hour (must be incorporated) 📩 Ready to Elevate Your Career?
