About this role: As a Property Manager at Glendale Funeral Home & Cemetery located in Etobicoke , Ontario , you will be responsible for supervising all aspects of cemetery and mausoleum care, providing guidance to your team, and delivering top notch customer service. Reporting to the Regional Property Manager you will be co-operating with all divisions of the company to maintain a harmonious working environment. This position is Monday to Friday based on a 40-hour work week schedule with overtime as required. Glendale Cemetery Operations maintains over 65 developed acres and performs more than 500 interments and 685 Entombments annually. The property includes an onsite Funeral Home, administration and sales office and several indoor Mausoleums and Columbarium. Job Type: Full Time, Permanent Vacancy Status: This is a pending vacancy, and we are actively seeking to fill this role K ey Qualifications and Demonstrated Abilities: A valid driver’s license with a clean driving abstract and minimum grade 12 education is required. A minimum of three (3) year previous facilities management experience in a landscape and/or property management setting and a demonstrated interest in working outdoors. Certificate in Physical Building Management program would be a great asset Health and Safety training. IPM certification would be an asset. Intermediate competency in MS Office software; Word and Excel. Ability to lift and carry 50lbs. Superior communication skills, written and verbal. Responsibilities: Managing a busy Cemetery Operation which includes several large Mausoleum complexes Prioritizing, assigning, managing and performing all work activities at the property. Managing and maintaining a large equipment fleet Recruiting, orienting, training and evaluating all property staff while maintaining a high level of morale and a safe working environment are key components of the position. Demonstrated ability to develop and motivate people while fostering a positive working environment. Preparing the annual budget, setting and meeting stated goals and objectives, and ensuring the implementation of and adherence to company policies and procedures.
