What you will be doing This position is responsible for providing a high level of quality in project delivery for projects on all levels of complexity and size. The incumbent of this role interprets customer requirements and offers solutions that maximize profitability and add value for the customer with an on time, on budget, right the first-time approach. Documentation of project delivery will be done to the highest industry standard monitored and measured by the Gerrie process. ADMIN ACTIVITIES/ CUSTOMER SERVICE Work closely with the Project Service team to coordinate project delivery to contractors for projects. Collaborate with Project Service team in maximizing project delivery processes. Assist the Branch with any requests that they may have, including but not limited to mitigating risk for project disputes and proven practices in project coordination. Ensure timely delivery of products and solutions while maintaining cost controls. Coordinate approval packages with suppliers and consulting engineers. Complete project documentation following the Gerrie policies and procedures. Create schedules of values, prepare process billings, and assist with amendments to existing purchase orders (i.e., change orders). Ensure all invoices have been prepared and sent. Coordinate credit issues with appropriate internal personnel. Coordinate pricing of change orders with suppliers and internal resources. Ensure project close out documentation is complete. Build packages and warranty letter from suppliers. Escalate issues to appropriate management for prompt investigation and required action. Keep the Project Services Manager and others informed on the project status and issues that may impact customer relations and project success. Provide input to the PSGS for revenue and margin forecast for managed projects. Handling job additions, deletions, and oversee the profitability of the project. COMMUNICATION Communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing. Establish and maintain positive collaborative relationships with customers. TEAMWORK AND COLLABORATION Create and maintain a team atmosphere and ensure employee concerns are resolved promptly. PROBLEM SOLVING Be able to recommend creative solutions to various issues that may arise. QUALITY Ensure employees understand and adhere to ISO policies and procedures. Participates on committees and special projects as requested What you bring to the table Must have a high school diploma. College Diploma in an Electrical discipline, or equivalent Electrical product knowledge is an asset. Project Management certification is an asset. Relevant experience (dealing with electrical products, preparing quotations). Excellent math, communication and organizational skills required. Must be personable, sales oriented and possess a good work ethic. Experience working with JD Edwards is a definite asset. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, PDF protocol. Strong attention to detail. Established relationships with manufacturers and contractors. Excellent knowledge of the electrical industry and products Technical knowledge of electrical distribution products and solutions Ability to interpret distribution single line drawings and lighting and lamping layouts.
