Parts Counterperson We are currently looking for a Parts Counterperson for our Ottawa East location: 2716 Sheffield Rd Ottawa Ontario K1B-3V9 Reporting to the Parts Manager, Parts Counterperson’s responsibilities will include selling parts to all available customers, over the retail counter, through the shop, or on the telephone. Responsibilities: Sell and invoice parts to wholesale and retail counter customers. Assist customers in selecting required parts, suggest companion requirements, offer specials, and ensure that the customer is exposed to the full product line. Provide technicians with parts accurately and efficiently. Answer telephones and provide quotes to customers. Source parts from aftermarket vendors. Periodically audit inventory to verify inventory quantities are correct. Comply with all relevant Health and Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures. Expected to have a positive attitude and promote a healthy work environment. Assist in other areas of Parts Department as required; cores, shipping and receiving. Other related duties as assigned. Previous experience in Heavy Truck or Automotive Industry is preferred. Rotating Saturday shift schedule including days and afternoons. Excellent customer service skills. Strong customer focus. Good communication skills and work attitude. Good computer skills - working knowledge and experience with ADP/CDK software an asset. Criminal Record Check.
