Position: Manager, Internal Communications Reports to: VP People, Culture and Safety The Manager, Internal Communications plays a key role in how Harbour Air connects with our people, bringing clarity, consistency, and intention to how we communicate. Aligned to our vision of being BC’s most trusted, innovative, and sustainable regional airline, this role partners with leaders across the business to shape clear, trusted messaging that reflects our values and supports a strong employee experience. Working closely with the People, Culture & Safety team, Commercial leadership, and the executive team, this role sets the direction for internal communications—evolving our intranet, improving how information flows, and supporting leaders through change. Ultimately, this role helps bring our mission and purpose to life by ensuring our people feel informed, connected, and engaged in delivering safe, reliable, and enjoyable travel across BC. Responsibilities and Expectations Internal Communications & Employee Connection Translate business decisions into clear, simple messaging for employees across all functions and bases Improve consistency and reduce fragmented communication across the organization Support delivery of company-wide updates, leadership communications, town halls, employee forums, and culture, engagement, and safety messaging Develop and execute change management communication plans for organizational initiatives, ensuring employees are informed, aligned, and supported at every stage of transition Build and maintain communication frameworks and toolkits that enable consistent change messaging across all bases and functions Help establish more effective two-way communication channels Communication and Strategic Delivery Develop and execute internal communications aligned with Harbour Air priorities Advise the VP, People, Culture & Safety and Senior Leadership on messaging and communication approaches Personally draft and deliver key communications, including leadership messages and company updates Intranet & Communication Platforms Lead requirements gathering, vendor selection, and implementation of a new intranet platform Ensure the platform is accessible, mobile-friendly, and effective for a diverse workforce Establish structure, governance, and content standards Improve overall communication channels to create a clearer source of truth Change Communications Support communication planning and major initiatives Draft communications that provide clarity and context during periods of change Help leaders communicate effectively with their teams through transitions Leadership Enablement Support leaders with tools and guidance to communicate more effectively Help improve consistency and clarity in how leaders share information with their teams This role may be asked to carry out additional tasks, projects, or responsibilities as required, in alignment with the scope and level of the position, to meet changing business needs. Qualifications / Assets Bachelor's degree in communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related discipline (or a combination of equivalent education and experience) 6–10+ years of progressive experience in internal, or corporate communications, or a related field Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling capability — able to translate complex business information into clear, compelling messaging Demonstrated ability to develop and execute communications strategies at an organizational level Strong stakeholder management skills with experience advising and influencing senior leaders Experience leading change communications in a complex or distributed organizational environment Demonstrated experience leading communications through organizational change, including restructuring, system implementations, or cultural transformation initiatives Ability to navigate ambiguity and competing priorities while maintaining message clarity and stakeholder trust Experience advising or coaching senior leaders on change communication approach and delivery Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously Knowledge of communications best practices across channels including email, intranet, town halls, and digital platforms Experience leading or managing intranet implementation or digital communications platform projects Experience working with broad, complex, distributed workforces spanning frontline operations, corporate functions, and technical or trades environments across multiple locations. Proficiency with intranet platforms, content management systems, or digital communications tools Basic design or visual communications capability to support content production Ability to work independently and operate with a high degree of autonomy in a fast-paced environment Comfort navigating ambiguity and working through periods of significant organizational change ABOUT HARBOUR AIR GROUP Launched in 1982, Harbour Air is North America’s largest seaplane airline.
