Machine Operator - Contract

Canpaco, a division of Imperial Dade Canada, has a contract position open in Kingsville, ON. The Machine Operator is a self-motivated team player who will be an active part of our Distribution department in the areas of picking, shipping and stocking.

Responsibilities

Responsible for but not limited to operating tray assembling machine. Operate tray assembling machine Load machine with corrugated boxes Retrieve finished boxes off the machine and place on pallets Wrap pallets Load glue for machine into hopper Change mandrills for box changes Experience a plus, but will train the right candidates Forklift license would be a bonus, but not required.

Qualifications

Previous or current experience with the Counter Balance – an asset. Previous warehousing experience required. Strong attention to detail. Good communication skills required (able to read, write and speak English). Self-motivated, dependable and reliable. Able to work in a fast-paced environment. Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team member. Good decision-making skills and ability to work independently. Secondary School Graduate or related experience.

Working/Other Conditions

Working onsite in a dry climate-controlled warehouse environment. Required to wear personal protective equipment. Minimal to moderate exposure to hazardous conditions, noise, and vibrations conducive to a warehouse environment. Ability to operate Material Handling Equipment as required. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work extended hours, which may be required from time to time.

This position has a salary range of $18.00 to $19.00.
