Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Machine Builder with strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on production experience. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and takes pride in producing high-quality work. This role involves assembling complex mechanical and electrical components, performing fit-up and fine adjustments, and ensuring products meet strict quality standards. Key Responsibilities Perform complex mechanical and electrical assemblies with precision Install and adjust impellers, shafts, gearboxes, and bushings Complete fit-up, welding, grinding, deburring, and polishing operations Interpret assembly drawings, work orders, and technical documentation Use inspection gauges and maintain accurate inspection records Identify and report deviations from specifications and tolerances Complete standardized documentation and inspection reports Operate hand and power tools, overhead cranes, and pallet jacks Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns promptly Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas Collaborate with multiple departments to support efficient operations Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Education & Certifications OSSD High School Diploma or GED (required) Technical school diploma, trade certificate, or equivalent (preferred) CWB welding certification (asset) TSSA certification for carbon and stainless (asset) Forklift and overhead crane certification (preferred) Experience & Skills Minimum 3 years’ experience with rotary equipment and complex assemblies Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Knowledge of manual and electrical tools Understanding of metrology and inspection processes Familiarity with Duplex, Ni-hard, and Alloy 20 materials (asset) Advanced math skills, including geometry and trigonometry Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Self-starter with strong initiative and follow-through Physical Requirements Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, reaching, and stooping Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Daily verbal and written communication in English What We Offer Competitive wages 3 weeks’ vacation pay Holiday pay Extended medical and dental benefits from hire Short-term and long-term disability coverage Pension plan with 5% company match Onsite parking Casual dress environment Wellness program Boot allowance Diversity & Inclusion EBARA HG is committed to employment equity and maintaining a diverse and inclusive workforce.
