The J. Hansen HVAC Group Inc. is in search of a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Plumber to join our team. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated professional with strong mechanical aptitude who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship. This role involves performing installation, maintenance, and service work on plumbing systems in commercial and residential environments. Duties and Responsibilities: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems Install, repair, and maintain domestic, commercial, and industrial plumbing fixtures and systems Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings Measure, cut, bend, and thread pipes using hand and power tools or machines Inspect plumbing systems to identify issues and implement effective solutions Perform preventative maintenance and service work as required Prepare cost estimates as required Complete service documentation and communicate findings and recommendations professionally to customers Support 24-hour emergency service on a flexible rotating on-call schedule Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicles in good working condition Perform other related duties as assigned Skills and Qualifications: Service experience in commercial and/or residential environments is an asset Backflow certification is considered an asset Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to support 24-hour emergency service on a rotating schedule Ability to conduct work while standing, bending, crawling, lifting, climbing, pulling, and reaching Ability to work in confined spaces, on ladders, and/or aerial platforms Must be comfortable working at heights Valid driver’s license and willingness to provide a driver’s abstract Education & Certifications Completion of secondary school is required Red Seal Journeyperson Plumber Certification is required Gas Fitter Class B License is preferred; willingness to obtain certification is considered an asset.
