WHAT’S THE JOB? Reporting to the Supervisor/Chef, the Storekeeper/Inventory Controller is responsible for the effective management of all materials and inventory across on-site and off-site locations. This includes receiving, storing, tracking, and controlling supplies related to food, beverages, chemicals, maintenance, janitorial, housekeeping, and commissary services. This position is ideally suited for individuals with a background in hospitality or food and beverage, especially those with experience in cost control, inventory management, and supply chain coordination in hotels, camps, or remote operations. The Storekeeper plays a crucial role in supporting day-to-day operations in a remote Arctic mining environment, ensuring efficiency, cost awareness, and service excellence. This position requires fly-in/fly-out travel to the project site in Baffin Nunavut, with potential for weather-related delays or logistical challenges. The position involves a remote work lifestyle in a Baffin Nunavut camp setting with the following working conditions and amenities: All meals and shared accommodations are provided  Travel is provided to and from the site locations from a designated hub location in Edmonton, AB Access to Wi-Fi  Access to laundry facilities and detergents  Access to a gym and common areas  Requires the operation of pallet jacks and the movement of heavy inventory safely using manual and mechanical jacks.  Manual movement of food and other product for the majority of a 12 hour shift in outdoor conditions in all weather conditions. Extended periods away from home; rotational schedule required. Must comply with all safety and sanitation standards established by the client and company. Your work will include: As a Inventory Controller, you will provide daily support to the Kitchen team by completing daily inventory tracking and picking from outside storage facilities.  Work with the Kitchen team to deliver meal/sandwiches to offsite catering facilities, complete the production sheet, and conduct a temperature check of catering coolers/fridges.  Conduct daily temperature monitoring of Inventory storage facilities, and report to Supervisor/Chef when maintenance is required.  Identify and promptly address any safety issues that may be found in Inventory storage facilities and report to Supervisor/Chef when further maintenance is required.  Identify and report any damaged items that needs to be discarded.  Coordinate and facilitate access to all items in Inventory facilities by condensing and organising Inventory, conducting inventory counts as directed by your Supervisor/Chef.  Stocking shelves, coolers, and freezers inside the Kitchen storage areas with product brought in from outside storage areas.  Take care of inside kitchen storage organisation, back dry storage, freezers, and coolers.  Collaborate with Kitchen team and chef to ensure consistency and accuracy of inventory reporting and administration.  Conduct weekly in-house inventory count reported to Chef.  Lead outside storage facilities physical inventory counts, as required.  Lead with receiving new product, delivery manifests, Storage facilities layout/ organization.  Assist Maintenance team with Sea container area snow removal and accessibility.  Ensure that all sea containers are properly close and report it when further maintenance is Physical Demands: Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs Climb ladders and stairs Stand, walk, squat, kneel or sit according to task for extended lengths of time Perform repetitive hand work requiring full use of both hands Work with arms above shoulder height Requires the operation of pallet jacks and the movement of heavy inventory safely using manual and mechanical jacks.  Manual movement of food and other product for the majority of a 12 hour shift in outdoor conditions in all weather conditions. WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? The successful candidate will possess the following required skills and abilities:   Fluent in English A valid driver license & valid skid steer training  Skid Steer certificate/experience or similar  Excellent communication & interpersonal skill  A positive, enthusiastic, and empathetic attitude.  A willingness to learn and understand the Kitchen inventory system.  A flexible and adaptable approach to work in different settings and situations.   This position requires lifting, carrying, and moving heavy objects and equipment.  The candidate will have strong organizational skills.  The candidate is willing and able to perform general lodge maintenance as required.  WORKING CONDITIONS   This position requires travel to various locations on site  This position may involve working in outdoor in extreme cold or rainy conditions  This position may require working in confined spaces WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?
