HR Assistant

L'Arche welcomes Assistants to live, work, and learn together with adults with developmental disabilities in our communities. We looking to welcome a Human Resources Assistant.  This is a temporary 9-week position (30 hours per week).  It's a good fit for applicants currently studying HR management and looking for work experience in this field. Main responsibilities: Assist in recruiting, screening, onboarding, and orientation of new volunteers and employees.   Scan paper files and organize them on a computer database. Update personnel databases. Develop training material for personnel. Who can apply for this job? The Government of Canada funded this job through the Canada Summer Jobs program. To apply for this job, you must: Be aged between 15 and 30 years old on the start date of the job; Have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN); and Be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada, or a person who has been granted refugee status in Canada. International students and other temporary residents of Canada are not eligible. You can only work one full-time job funded by the Canada Summer Jobs program at a time.
