Fitness / Aqua Fitness Instructor Community and Development Services   Position Summary: Reporting to the Supervisor of Recreation and Fitness Programs, the Fitness / Aqua Fitness Instructor is responsible for instructing assigned fitness programming as well as organizing and promoting fitness activities. Key Responsibilities: Instruct Aqua Fitness or Land Fitness programs. Organize and promote fitness activities. Promote healthy lifestyles to our community through public education projects. Comply with applicable provincial and municipal legislation including the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, and the Municipality’s Records and Information Management Program. Comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, applicable legislation, as well as the Municipality of Leamington’s Health and Safety Program. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills: YMCA, CALA, FOLP or Can Fit Pro Certification preferred. Group fitness certification preferred. Standard First Aid and Level “C” C.P.R. and AED required. Customer service skills and innovative fitness ideas. Must have experience demonstrating strong organizational and customer service skills.
