About this role

The Envelope Coordinator supports the successful delivery of façade and building envelope works, from design development and procurement through fabrication, installation, and closeout. The role involves working closely with designers, suppliers, fabricators, installers, and the site team to ensure façade systems are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with contractual, quality, and performance requirements.  1. Design & Engineering Coordination  Assist in reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and performance criteria (curtain wall, glazing, cladding, louvers, terracotta, aluminum composite panels, etc.).   Request, log, track and follow-up on technical façade related submissions provided by the design team.  Coordinate and track façade related RFIs, design clarifications, and technical queries submitted by the façade subcontractors.  Track and follow up on approvals through design teams and assist in ensuring timely issuance of construction‑ready façade documentation.  Support the Project Manager with coordinating façade-specific Change Orders and design-related variations with the Project Manager and subcontractors.  2. Procurement & Fabrication Management  Assist in preparing and monitoring façade procurement packages, including glass, aluminum, anchors, fixings, sealants, and accessories.   Review and monitor supplier and fabricator progress reports against approved fabrication schedules and milestones.  Track material lead times and fabrication sequences, supporting with just-in-time façade materials delivery in line with installation sequencing and site logistics constraints.  Liaise as required with subcontractors, internal departments and stakeholders, to support alignment between procurement, fabrication, and site activities.  3. Planning, Scheduling & Controls  Prepare and monitor short‑term and look‑ahead façade schedules in coordination with milestones and master construction program.  Support Project Manager with façade works sequencing in relation to structure, waterproofing trades, MEP interfaces, and interior works.  Help with the identification and mitigation of potential risks related to façade access, weather, tolerances, craneage, and interface activities.  Collect façade progress information and data inputs for project controls and reporting.  4. Site Execution & Installation Coordination  Coordinate daily façade installation activities with subcontractors and site supervision in accordance with approved schedules.  Verify manpower, materials, equipment, access systems, and logistics are mobilized and available as planned.  Communicate with façade subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments to help resolve site issues and technical constraints.  Track façade installation progress, productivity, and quality in alignment with approved shop drawings, method statements, and schedules.  Take part of daily and weekly coordination meetings related to façade works and installation sequencing.  Escalate delays, constraints, and technical issues affecting façade installation promptly to the Project Manager.  5. Safety Management  Contribute to compliance with façade works site safety plans and company safety policies.  Identify and report unsafe façade installation practices.  Report incidents, near misses, and safety concerns to the Safety Department and Project Manager.   Support safe sequencing of façade activities, including access systems, hoisting, and weather-related risks.  6. Quality Assurance & Testing  Work alongside the Quality Department to monitor and follow up on the ITP process, including testing protocols.  Maintain records of façade Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and track close-out status.  7. Reporting, Cost & Administration  Compile daily, weekly, and monthly façade progress and productivity reports, benchmarking actual progress against the approved schedule for the Project Manager.  Support the Project Manager with façade-related cost reporting, job-cost tracking, and change management.  Contribute accurate data for month-end financial reconciliation and project reporting.  Maintain organized façade documentation, correspondence, tracking logs, and records in accordance with project document control procedures.  Provide management with accurate façade progress data, performance metrics, and trend analysis.  8. Close‑Out & Handover  Support in coordinating, preparing, and compiling façade-related as-built documentation for quality records, handover, and final submission. Qualifications:  A bachelor’s degree in Architecture, with a background in construction, engineering, or transportation related projects.  Minimum 4-6 years of proven experience in construction coordination or a similar role.  Relevant certifications, such as OSHA safety training, are advantageous.  Strong ability to read, interpret, and work with construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.  Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word) and CAD/BIM software such as AutoCAD, Revit or equivalent.  Strong verbal and written communication skills.  Self-motivated with good organizational and time‑management abilities.  Flexible and able to adjust work hours as needed to meet project deadlines.  Effective team player with the ability to collaborate across disciplines and with external partners.
