Electrician I Non-construction

What we offer In addition to a job that matches your ambitions, with varied and enriching assignments, joining Velan means becoming part of a passionate team and enjoying exceptional working conditions: Competitive salary and evening shift premium Comprehensive insurance program after probation period and group RRSP with employer contribution Paid time off during the holidays Free on-site parking Company events (health, family, sports, etc.) and various wellness activities (Employee Assistance Program and lump‑sum program for a gym membership) Fast career progression and professional development opportunities Responsibilities Perform troubleshooting and resolution of technical problems on machines  Carry out the annual thermography and maintenance of BBA equipment  Modify and update electrical plans for the North American plants  Potentially act as the designated electrical representative  Provide machine backup support  Perform maintenance for the welding department  Ensure calibration of testing equipment  Ensure proper functioning of the entire electrical network  Calculate the plant’s electrical capacity compared to the number of machines on the shop floor  Participate in machine automation projects  Perform any other related duties Your profile DEC in Electrical Engineering and valid C licence  At least 7 years of experience as an industrial electrician, primarily working with machining equipment on CNC and conventional machines  Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and machine tool specifications  Knowledge of automation and control systems  Solid experience with electrical and electronic systems  Experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems (an asset) If you recognize yourself in this profile and would like to take on this challenge, we would love to learn more about you!
