Position Title: Community Coordinator, NB (CSJ Funded) Location: Moncton, NB Reports To: Team Lead, NB Anticipated Start Date: July 6 th , 2026 Contract Ends: August 28 th , 2026 I. Job Purpose The Community Coordinator, NB will be responsible for supporting a team of volunteers and staff as we deliver technology, recreation, and SmartLife programs. Candidates must be youth aged 15 to 30. II. Essential Functions The position entails, but is not limited to the following general responsibilities: Support the planning, promotion, and delivery of CNIB recreation and social programs, including virtual and in-person activities Help schedule guest speakers, prepare program materials, and develop games, activities, and discussion themes. Assist with summer activities and community-based events. Provide support during program sessions by helping with hosting, participant engagement, and accessibility needs. Track attendance, register participants, and complete basic data entry related to program participation. Perform other related duties that support CNIB’s community programs. Excellent verbal and written communication and superior interpersonal skills Portray the appropriate professional image Strong proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications Excellent organizational and planning skills to work to concurrent and/or conflicting deadlines Highly flexible and able to respond to new tasks An active member in the blindness community (preferred) Proficiency in French and English (preferred) Experience and Education Experience in developing and delivering presentations Experience with database management Experience developing events or programs for youth or seniors is preferred Work Environment This position will be based from home with some work days out of the CNIB Office in Moncton and occasional community visits. This position will be 35 hours per week; you must be willing to work flexible hours including some evenings and weekends for events. Occasional travel will be required.
