At Zensurance, we pride ourselves on the seamless customer experience we strive to deliver daily. We're looking for a sales-driven New Business Broker to join our growing Commercial team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a client-centered sales professional who holds themselves to the highest standards and aligns their success with that of the customer. We're boldly going where no insurance broker has gone before! Reporting to the Team Lead, you'll act as the first point of contact with new prospects with the goal of making them new clients. Bonus: There's no cold calling or prospecting required - we provide the leads and accounts!
Continually engage leads provided to you by Zensurance to convert requests for insurance into customers.
Evaluate the needs of prospective clients to make expert recommendations on necessary coverages.
Provide continuous support from quote to sale to ensure a seamless client experience within set timelines.
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of our insurance products and educate clients on their policy coverages and needs, breaking down complicated concepts into simpler terms.
Recommend operational changes to our processes to support further improvement of the overall customer experience.
Connect with external stakeholders (underwriters, insurance companies) and work as part of the team to achieve shared goals.
Reporting: Provide weekly flow updates to enhance programs and pricing.
You hold a valid broker license for your province and have 1+ years of P&C experience. Previous commercial broking experience is strongly preferred.
CIP, CAIB, or CRM designation is a bonus.
Client-First Communication: You're skilled at translating complex insurance concepts into simple, clear language that clients appreciate.
Proven ability to utilize a BMS or other digital tools to streamline your workflows and manage high-volume client data.
You thrive working with colleagues, underwriting teams, and partners to achieve shared goals and deliver seamless service.
You approach challenges with persistence and agility, consistently meeting set targets and finding innovative solutions.
You have strong prioritization skills and demonstrated flexibility in managing a diverse portfolio of clients and tasks simultaneously.
You maintain a sharp attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all policy and account management processes.
Compensation
Associate: The total cash compensation range including OTE for this role is $58,000, with a top earning potential of $68,000. Intermediate: The total cash compensation range including OTE for this role is $68,000, with a top earning potential of $92,000. Senior: The total cash compensation range including OTE for this role is $78,000, with a top earning potential of $110,000. The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees may also be eligible for performance-based case incentive awards.
