Position Summary The Assistant Restaurant General Manager supports overall restaurant operations by driving operational excellence, team performance, guest satisfaction, food safety compliance, and profitability. This role provides leadership to restaurant team members, assists with daily execution of operational standards, and ensures a positive guest experience aligned with brand expectations. The ARGM acts as a key member of the leadership team and supports recruitment, training, scheduling, inventory management, and shift execution while maintaining a high-performance culture.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management Support daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency, speed of service, and operational consistency. Execute brand standards, food safety procedures, and health & safety policies. Monitor product quality, cleanliness, and customer service standards throughout all shifts. Assist in achieving restaurant sales, labor, and profitability targets. Ensure operational readiness for peak business periods. Team Leadership Supervise, coach, and motivate team members and shift supervisors. Assist with training of new employees. Promote a positive, respectful, and performance-driven workplace culture. Provide ongoing feedback and performance coaching. Support employee engagement and retention initiatives. Guest Experience Deliver exceptional hospitality and resolve guest concerns professionally and promptly. Ensure order accuracy, product quality, and service excellence. Build strong guest relationships and promote brand loyalty. Financial Accountability Support labor management and scheduling based on business needs. Assist with inventory control, waste reduction, and cost management. Monitor cash handling procedures and ensure compliance with company policies. Contribute to achieving restaurant KPI targets including OSAT, drive-thru times, food cost, and labor cost. Compliance & Safety Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety regulations. Ensure restaurant equipment is maintained and operational. Complete operational checklists, audits, and documentation accurately. Support corrective action plans and continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications Minimum 1–3 years of restaurant or quick service management experience preferred. Leadership experience in a high-volume environment is an asset. Strong communication, coaching, and organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Knowledge of food safety standards and labor compliance requirements. Proficient in POS systems and basic computer applications. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Ability to perform repetitive motions including bending, lifting, and reaching.
