Better Living Health and Community Services is seeking a Full-Time Permanent Team Lead for the Adult Day Program. The Adult Day Program Team Lead oversees the delivery of Adult Day Programs across two Better Living locations. The role is responsible for planning and implementing engaging, therapeutic programming and supervising program staff and volunteers to ensure high-quality, person-centered care that supports the well-being, of clients. This position reports to the Vice President, Community Health and Wellness
Completion of a Degree or diploma in related field Recreation, Activation, Gerontology or Behavioral Science Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience Experience working with vulnerable or high-risk populations, seniors and adults with disabilities and cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer’s or Dementia Strong working knowledge and experience with client documentation, MS Office software, AlayaCare Current First Aid & C.P.R. certification required Vulnerable Sector Police Clearance issued by local police station, within 1 month of offer of employment

Strong problem solver collaboratively identifies appropriately responds to and resolves Good knowledge of community resources KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Position Specific Plan, prepare and coordinate program Develop and implement therapeutic recreation program components for the Adult Day Program Develop, instruct and lead program activities to meet the diverse needs of the Clients Oversee and monitor programs to ensure they are delivered based on the program criteria Ensure that proper volunteer management practices are implemented and maintained Monitor the risk management program to ensure client services, management, operations, environment, property and occupational health and safety protocols are maintained Ensure adequate training of Day Program staff for vacation and emergency coverage of the program. Coordinate and supervise activities of staff, volunteers and students Maintain Day Program budget including the purchase of program supplies Provide on-going support to Clients and families including information about changes to Clients’ status and assist families with long range Client care planning and referral to Social Worker as required Develop and maintain linkages to related services including, transportation, meals on wheels, social work, general community support services and personal care services Assist staff with toileting of Clients Assist clients with activities of daily living Process monthly Client billing in conjunction with Accounting department Location- Between Deauville and Overland Salary : $49,400 per annum As per the Ministry of Health’s Directive #6, Better Living has established a mandatory vaccine policy.
