Accounting Co-op - Fall 2026

Accounting Co-op Fall 2026 Term (4or 8 Month Term) University/College  OVERVIEW This role works closely with the Assistant Controller and other departments to contribute to the company’s financial objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a family-owned business environment. YOUR DAY TO DAY Assist with completing month-end procedures and reconciliations for inventory, deferred revenue, accruals, overhead, etc. together with the existing team in a very efficient and timely manner. Assist with reviewing financial results of individual companies monthly. Analyzes development projects from a financial perspective along with the Assistant Controller. Analyzes specific job results by revenue type, (e.g., overall margins on large supply jobs), ensuring we reach our target margins. Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as required. Assists the VP of Finance with year-end financial reports where required. Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the company. Other duties are requested by management. WHAT YOU BRING: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders.
