ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:  McDougall Transportation is seeking a skilled  310T Truck and Coach Technician/Active Apprentice  to join our team, based out of our  Cochrane   Shop. In this role, you will be responsible for servicing our dedicated, internal fleet with a variety of makes, models and types of equipment. As a Truck and Coach Technician/ Active Apprentice, reporting to the Shop Manager, you will be responsible for: Performing Ministry of Transportation of Ontario (MTO) safety inspections on tractors and trailers in compliance with provincial regulations  Assisting with and performing diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on diesel engines, powertrains, electrical systems, and aftertreatment systems (tractors)  Inspecting, servicing, and repairing trailer systems, including brakes, suspension, lighting, ABS, and structural components  Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues using appropriate tools and diagnostic software (as applicable to experience level)  Performing preventative and predictive maintenance on all fleet equipment to ensure safety and reliability  Accurately documenting inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities, including daily logs and service reports  Assisting with parts identification and communicating repair needs to support efficient workflow  Conducting post-repair inspections and supporting road testing to verify safe operation  Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including proper use and care of tools and equipment  Always following all occupational health and safety policies and procedures WHAT WE OFFER: We offer career growth and development through on-the-job training, professional courses, and peer learning in a friendly and inclusive work environment that allows you to thrive both personally and professionally.  We offer a comprehensive total rewards package including: Pay: Apprentice $23.50 - $36.00 per hour Fully Licensed 310T $41.00 per hour  Overtime available - paid after 44 hours  Employer-matched RRSP  Employer-paid Health & Dental Benefits  Employee Assistance Program (EAP)  Healthcare & Lifestyle Spending Account   Life & Disability Insurance   Employer Provided Uniforms, Outerwear, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)  Employee & Customer Referral Programs  Employee Discount & Perks Programs ABOUT YOU: The ideal candidate will have: A valid 310T License or active Apprenticeship  A valid G Class Driver’s License  Strong interpersonal skills and the desire to be a team player The ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Numeric ability and strong problem-solving skills Demonstrated experience providing excellent customer service Willingness to travel This position is physically demanding, involving significant lifting and pulling in an outdoor climate. The successful candidate will be required to successfully pass pre and random drug & alcohol testing and must have a safety and compliance mindset.
