Job Title: Kids World Program Attendant
Contract Period: August 21st - September 7 th , 2026
Pay Rate: $17.60 / hr

The CNE, often affectionately referred to as The Ex, is Canada’s largest community event and one of the top ten agricultural fairs in North America, attracting approximately 1.6 million visitors annually over the course of its 18-day run. With something for everyone, the CNE offers a wide range of attractions and interactive entertainment experiences including: concerts, midway rides and games, shopping, exhibits, tech and gaming hubs, food and wacky treats! Daily set up, operation and tear down of program area
Engage guests to participate in the activity/program
Provide information to guests about exhibits in an enthusiastic and informative manner
Supervise area to encourage safe operation as well as to protect against theft, loss, and breakage
Ensure adequate availability/quantity of activity supplies and restock when necessary
Ensure the program areas are properly maintained and presentable at all times
Answer basic questions from the general public regarding programming, attractions, facilities, services (i.e. location of nearest washrooms, bank machines, food vendors, Found Children, First Aid)
Miscellaneous duties for the operations of the area
Ability to stand or remain in stationary position for extended periods of time
Ability to work outdoors for extended periods and in all weather conditions (sun, heat, wind, cold, rain)
Comfortable with loud noises and crowds
Comfortable in instructing, aiding, and facilitating programs such as arts and crafts, meet and greets, line management, and other Kids’ World related programs
Comfortable supervising, instructing, and aiding children of all ages
Required to dress in appropriate uniform
Outgoing and friendly disposition
Strong communication and customer service skills
Reliable, responsible
Patient
Takes initiative
Works effectively as part of a team and individually with minimal supervision
Minimum Age Requirement: 14 years
Available to work flexible hours all 18 days of the fair (August 21st - September 7th, 2026), including evenings, weekends, and Labour Day
Available to attend one day of mandatory staff orientation and one day of mandatory job-specific training, scheduled to take place between early August – August 20, 2026. Exact dates to be confirmed
Experience interacting with children of different ages an asset
Customer service interaction, problem solving, program facilitation, and communication experience is an asset
