Pay Rate: $17.60 / hr

The CNE, often affectionately referred to as The Ex, is Canada’s largest community event and one of the top ten agricultural fairs in North America, attracting approximately 1.6 million visitors annually over the course of its 18-day run. Assist with all aspects of the Gaming Garage
Ongoing cleaning and maintenance of the Gaming Garage area, assist staff with the daily set-up and tear-down of props, set-up and tear-down of sound equipment and general crowd control
Assist staff with the daily opening and closing of various activities within Gaming Garage
Ensure the various program areas are always maintained and presentable
Supervision of area to avoid theft, loss, and breakage
Answer basic questions from the general public regarding programming, attractions, facilities, services (i.e., location of washrooms, bank machines, food vendors, Found Children, First Aid)
Assist, as required, with various other programs and activities managed by the Arts & Heritage department including transport and delivery of supplies
Ability to stand or be stationary for extended periods of time
Ability to work outdoors for extended periods and in all weather conditions (sun, heat, wind, cold, rain)
Comfortable with loud noises and crowds
Comfortable working with children of all ages
Must be able to lift and carry equipment (50lbs)
Required to dress in appropriate uniform

Fast learner
Works effectively with minimal supervision
Minimum Age Requirement: 16 years
G2 class License is required
Available to work all 18 days of the fair (August 21st - September 7th, 2026) and the week prior
Available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and Labour Day
Able to attend Mandatory Orientation Session and Job-Specific Training
